The painted rocks in the distance
Great rainbow walls
Forged by the sun
In the furnace of Chihuahua
A single color, a single tone
Till blasted from the furnace
Till fired from the forge
Till revealed from the prism
They burst into rainbow
Air wavering, the colors run
Into each other one atop his brother
The world is paint, light seeks and finds
The rocks just stand, sponges
Earth racing into hues
Reflected infinity of a star
Giving each other light.
Giving each other life
Giving each other communion
Giving each other birthright
Born fire's living spirit
Living fire giving birth
Living birth giving color
Living color giving light
The light giving image to its Name
The Image of the desert painted... is God

The Insight
The Insight
Jeff Darling
One thing is true ,
one thought, so simple
Can be the insight that
Remains your beacon to the grave
Having altered your life
To the point where you
Are suddenly fun and happy
And know how to be adored
By even folks you dislike
And now everybody loves you
There: you've become 'that' guy
Or maybe, you catch that insight
And, a couple of minutes later
You say... what was that again?
